January 11- swimming upstream

Work lately, is like swimming upstream.  We aren’t allowed to work more hours, though the need is there. I work with college students, and there are a lot of college students who need various forms of help. Asking for more hours, asking for more staff, asking for more office space, is all like swimming upstream. I’m trying another approach to the work issues. I just go in do what I can, with the hours I am given, and then go home.  I do the best I can, with the time, space, and staff I have. Otherwise, I will continue to swim upstream, get aggravated more, and quite frankly, I am tired of making other people and their position in the company, look good.
